What a super bunch of mathematicians we have in our class. The children set themselves a challenge to link their work in numeracy with their World Around Us topic. The challenge was to find out whether the Titanic would fit in the school grounds. They set off with the trundle wheel and measured every inch of the playgrounds. A lot of calculating and problem solving later they worked out that our school grounds were about 3 times too small. A big well done to them all, lots of skills on show in this task.
