Yesterday P5,6 and 7 were lucky enough to take part in the first of their zero waste champions workshops. We are one of only four schools in the Fermanagh and Omagh area to be lucky enough to receive these workshops. The children learned ways that we can become a more circular economy with our everyday resources: in school, at home and in our local community.
The children got the chance to work in groups to design and then turn materials that would have been destined for landfill into amazing bags.
This was a truly eye-opening workshop for both the children and staff as we all can definitely do so much more at home and in school to limit our waste.
